Andara is an obsidian glass that is not formed by volcanic action.This is formed by an event of a meteor coming into the atmosphere and burning and breaking up as it falls to earth. The heat and pressure interact with the earth and do not leave a crater but do create this high silica content glass. When Lora Lynne discovered this raw material years ago she was very intrigued with the way that it felt, not like glass that she knew, but light and space. When it was revealed that a scarab on one of King Tut's pectorals was made out of Andara she went to the next step and started to experiment with casting it. Out of the crucible comes these objects of earth, light and space. This substance is heliocentric, which means that it holds light. It is what the windows in Chartres Cathedral do and the formula for that glass has been lost and never reproduced in modern times. She only uses pieces that are willing to be worked with in this way and there is an unfolding to the form that it will take.It is for Lora Lynne, the edge of the Mystery unfolding, and an honor to create into windows and talisman pieces.
