THE COMMISSION PROCESS
Lora Lynne has developed a unique way of offering her services that do not require location in the clients home town. In utilizing her connections to suppliers in both coasts she is able to acquire materials, cut out the approved design, and then complete the fabrication and installation on site. This way of working makes sure there are no mistakes in the handling or installation process and the safety of the art glass piece.

If the client is located within driving distance of the major cities that Lora Lynne works from then the initial design consultation is free. She regularly is on site in all locations but if there is a need for immediate work than the client pays for travel expenses.

Prior to the initial meeting Lora Lynne will speak to the prospective client about the project and the background. She may want photos of the site, color inspirations, architectural drawings or other information about the commission.

DESIGN DISCUSSION MEETING
Lora Lynne will meet with the client and will bring along samples, portfolio pictures, and her years of design experience. A vast amount of information is gathered in this meeting about all aspects of the project. Pictures will be taken of the site and the occupants of the space so that a clear connection to the soul of this creative work is held. Lora Lynne gets a keen instinctual framework from the preferences and situations of the people, the views from the space and the energy flows of area. With this information she is able to go back to her studio and in the stillness allow the information to settle and clarify. From this place Lora Lynne will weave the diverse elements into designs.

DESIGN STAGE
A design fee, based on the anticipated cost of the job, is billed. This non-refundable fee is applied to the final cost of the project.

Lora Lynne prefers to be able to work within a design framework that is drawn and approved by the client and also likes to leave some space for what will emerge as the design comes into form at the cutting table. She works her designs like a painting, utilizing the glass in a way that is optimal so there is play in the structure. If there is a major change or request by her to the design she will communicate with the client to get approval.

Once the drawings are complete, Lora Lynne will present them with materials to be used and an estimate on the cost of the project, for final approval.

CONTRACTUAL STAGE
Once the client approves the design and materials , a formal contract is submitted. This includes a payment schedule which is drafted in segments, 50/50, 50/25/25, depending on the size of the job.

FABRICATION
After the signed contract and the initial payment is made, the materials are purchased and the full size cartoons are made. The fabrication begins upon the receipt of the materials and the whole process begins.

INSTALLATION
The art glass is transported to the site and completed and installed by Lora Lynne Glass.

PRICING
There is no way to give a square foot price for a piece of art glass. Factors vary from one piece to another depending on glass, artistic accents, custom bevels, etc., and the number of pieces in the design itself. Lora Lynne is able to work with a budget and is happy to discuss how to effect that.
