Lora
Lynne has been designing and fabricating glass pieces for over 25
years.
Her work comes out of a background in painting and sculpture allowing
an articulation of color and interest found in fine art. Her innovative
approaches led her to be called the best glass designer on the east
coast by Bob Getty, dean of architecture at Princeton. Lora Lynne’s
work graces with enduring beauty fine private residences and public
spaces. She enjoys the co-creative aspects of designing a commission,
working with her clients to evolve their input into a masterful
expression of unique art glass.
Lora Lynne, under the name of Artisan Studio, generated several
lines and types
of every day functional pieces in fused glass. This work earned
her a place in the
Who’s Who of American Craft and was sold through fine galleries
and museum
shops nationally and internationally. Good design and creative use
of materials is not limited by size, small or large. She is also
able to work with costs and effective measures to stay within a
budget on the commissions that she accepts.
Her life long spiritual practices form a ground from which she lives
and works. The esthetic of elemental and energetic flow as a healer,
shaman, teacher and feng shui adept translates from heart to hand
in her work. Lora Lynne pulls from many traditions to create a potency
of spirit and matter. Her thesis at the Barbara Brennan School of
Healing was called the Creation of Ritual Art as a Healing Journey.
Illumination and revelation are found everywhere and glass is a
most amazing material for the enhancement of inner and outer space.
